JEFF ADER-TRUMPET
Been teaching every day on line, walking everyday when we can and creating karate videos to help my students.

I’ve also started recording one part of the Arban’s duets to give my concert band friends some motivation to pick up their horns.
Stay well and happy.
Hope to see you sooner than later.

Hi Craig, i don’t know if this qualifies but we’ve taken the time to develop an entirely new website. You can check it out at:

I did this "just for fun" and hopefully it will invite a few laughs from people. I loved what Johanna wrote, so here is my "new normal day" along with going "Stark Raving...Malbec??"

6:30 - 7:00 a.m. My male cat, Jet, starts yowling around 6 a.m. for me to get up and feed him "treats" so I get up and give him some cat snacks.
7:00 - 8:00 a.m. I do my household pet chores -- litter box cleaning, check and refill water dishes, put out more birdseed for the outdoor feeders, etc.
8:00 - 9 or 9:30 a.m. Check emails, read some, make coffee, fix breakfast, etc.
9:30 - 11:30 a.m. or 12 noon Schoolwork on the laptop with a few breaks for bathroom, getting water or more coffee, checking school email, sending messages, blah blah blah
12 noon - about 5:30 p.m. More schoolwork, make phone calls, take care of some things for Mom (bills, phone calls, etc.), pet the cats, walk around the house, get a snack or small lunch, check out webinars online, wander aimlessly at times, try to figure out what I'm doing ;-)
Sometimes I even work until 6 or 6:30 p.m. if I'm finally on a roll. I get so distracted at times I really can't focus. But I stop at 6:30 p.m. to watch Jeopardy. This also is the time I think about what I should have pulled out of the freezer for dinner, or what I should have started making for dinner 2 hours ago!
It also is the time I have some wine with dinner -- or before dinner and then with dinner. Thus, the "Stark Raving...Malbec??!" because I am not used to missing band rehearsals, not used to missing students at school, and certainly NOT used to "teaching" via my laptop!
  I miss our bands!

CATHERINE WHEELER-2ND TENOR SAX
Hi everyone! In the midst of this challenging time, I have been so blessed with the opportunity to "tutor" my grandkids. I was part of a non-profit free tutoring program in Spokane before moving here, and that has turned out to be so helpful in this new situation we're in. My 2 dogs are greatly benefiting from the grandkids being here most days, and I am loving this special time, yet very much missing getting together with dear friends and hiking group. I get together with my son and his wife and kids every weekend, usually for a meal together, and for "virtual church" together. I also am enjoying daily walks, the deer, incredible Colorado sort-of-spring, the songbirds having returned, and even the stillness. I had applied to be able to volunteer with COVIDline (telehealth), but held up by not having previously transferred my license to CO. I hope you are all staying well, and to be back playing music with you soon.
